No Nukes
The world still lives under the threat of nuclear weapons. The nine countries that together possess more than 25.000 nuclear weapons, do not keep their promises to work towards a world free of nuclear weapons. IKV Pax Christi cals for action! We support the international call for nuclear disarmament and call upon our government to declare officially that it supports the call for a nuclear-weapons-free world by 2020. Read on
Stop Clustermuntions
In 2008 IKV Pax Christi succesfully campaigned against the use, production and storage of clustermuntions. As a member of with the international Clustermunitions Coalition we called for legal instruments on national and international level to protect civilians during and after conflict against the impact of clustermunition. A ban on clustermunitions was accepted by 94 countries on December the 4th during the Convention on Clustermunition in Oslo. Read on |
